Greene started his education career in 2004 as a high school social studies teacher and AVID teacher and coordinator at Farmville Central High School in Pitt County, where he taught for four years before serving three years an assistant principal at J.H. Rose High School, also in Pitt County.

The Greene County Career Center Board of Education meets the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center. The Board consists of representatives from the seven school districts served by the Career Center. These boards either elect or appoint a representative to serve on the Career Center Board.

The Greene County Board of Education is the official governing body for our public school district. The board consists of five elected members. One member serves as the chairperson and is elected by all the citizens of the county to a four year term. The other four members are elected by districts to four year overlapping terms.
